WHY YOGA FOR KIDS?

Through the non-competitive engagement of body, breath and expression in a practice, Yoga harnesses a deep sense of well-being. We are actively empowering values around active listening, communication, expression of ideas, compassion, understanding and sense of self.

 

We all know children have the ability to learn and adopt knowledge to degrees far more remarkable than as adults, but the way in which each child learns can greatly differ.

 

This is why it is so important for all learning centre's to diversify the ways in which these core values and lessons can be taught and received. Yoga at its very essence, is one’s ability to learn via action, reflection and introspection.

Yoga, whether for children or adults, teaches unity of breath and movement, strengthening connection to the breath and of course building relation to young developing bodies. Practicing poses and mindful movements from a young age will reap benefits well beyond childhood.

 

Growing in self-confidence, self-love and advancing the understanding around the benefits and importance of mindful emotions and active bodies.  The most important and influential part of a human being life is 0-6 years, and that is why here at Rising Health we aspire to be a part of the shift and movement toward yoga and mindfulness in everyday early education.
